Vehicle registration in the West Riding

Calling all those with a Passion for Vintage and Classic Vehicles!           Perhaps your family owned a Wolseley registration number UB 1216 in the 1930s or a Rolls Royce registration number JUG 873N in the 1970s.

If you own a classic or vintage vehicle and want to know more about its original registration mark then the Local Vehicle Registration Collection could hold the answer! This collection [C192] is held at our Wakefield office and consists of over a 1000 boxes of vehicle files, index cards and vehicle registers.

To celebrate this incredible collection West Yorkshire Archive Service has created a display to showcase some of the fascinating vehicle collections and their images that it holds. If you have an interest in classic and vintage vehicles then why not come along to one of our five district offices where the display can be viewed from 18th February until 2nd March.
