Anne Lister Merchandise

To coincide with our Anne Lister – In Her Words exhibition and Anne Lister Birthday Week events we created Anne Lister merchandise which is available to buy onsite at our Calderdale and Wakefield archives.

We are now selling some of our merchandise online!

The online merchandise available is outlined below. Please note individual product descriptions are available further down the page.

If you would like to make an order please contact calderdale@wyjs.org.uk with your order request and home address. We will then send you details of how to make your payment online.

Please note to the extent customs or other import taxes arise in relation to the sale and delivery of items by WYAS to customers outside the UK, WYAS bears no responsibility for the administration or payment of such amounts.

FAQS
Can I order merchandise items not included in the bundles?
We are not selling other merchandise items, for example iron gall ink bottles, online. The options listed above are the only merchandise options available to buy online.
Can I personalise my merchandise bundle?
We do not have the resources to create and send personalised merchandise orders. We are only selling the options as listed above.
Do you post internationally?
Yes! We can send merchandise internationally. The fees for this are slightly higher to cover international postage costs and are included in the pricing listed above.
How do I pay?
We request payments to be made via our online card payment system. You will be given instructions on how to do this after emailing the team.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Once we have received your request and payment, your order will be processed and posted within 10 working days via Royal Mail.

Product Descriptions

Pin Badges
Each individual badge is 25mm (1 inch)
They are made up of four different designs:

  • Abbreviation of Halifax in Anne’s writing.
  • The word love in code in Anne’s writing.
  • The pie symbol which represent Mariana in the diaries in Anne’s writing.
  • Portrait of Anne Lister.

Coasters
Each individual coaster is 9cm x 9cm and 3mm thick.
They include 2 different designs:

  • The quote “I am odd, very very odd” in Anne’s writing.
  • Example of Anne’s crosshatched writing.

Sticker Sheet
The sticker sheets are A6 vinyl.
There are 8 stickers with different designs:

  • The word love in code in Anne’s writing.
  • The pie symbol which represent Mariana in the diaries in Anne’s writing.
  • Portrait of Anne Lister.
  • The quote “I am an enigma” in Anne’s writing.
  • The quote “I love and only love the fairer sex” in code in Anne’s writing.

Notebook
48-page A5 softback notebook.
The cover design is taken from Anne Lister’s 1827 travel journal.

Diary Print
The print covers diary entries from the 15th and 16th September 1823 (collection reference: SH:7/ML/E/7). The transcription is on a separate sheet.
