Seed lists, gardens of Studley Royal, 1729-1749

There are numerous bills for seeds and plants supplied for the gardens of Studley Royal in the archives. These lists provide clues about how the picturesque gardens must have looked in the early 18th century, full of fruit trees, vegetables, flowers and herbs and give an insight into the diet of the inhabitants of the household.
