Valuations of wooded land and goods belonging to Fountains Abbey, circa 1540

This volume shows the parcels of woodland owned by Fountains Abbey. It lists many of the trees growing there, primarily oak and ash, and shows the names of all the parcels of land such as Breakplow Banke and Cowclose. The volume is annotated on the back to say that it was “supposed to have been taken when [the abbey was] dissolved”.
