Requirements for new municipal offices, 1867

Council departments were invited to submit their requirements for new municipal offices and officials reported on the facilities they would need in the new offices.

Here, the Inspector of Nuisances requests space for staff, toilet facilities, and space to meet with members of the public.

The report seems to have been written on whatever was to hand in the office; in this case the back of a voter list. The list can just be made out behind the report, together with a sketch drawing of offices on the left.

Below, the Chief Constable has sketched the facilities they would require for new court and police offices
